Prepare your board and install your MicroPython application from your browser.

Step 1 - Set Up MicroPython

No, install MicroPythonOpen the guided setup
  1. Unplug your Pico.
  2. Hold BOOTSEL and plug it back in.
  3. Release BOOTSEL when the Pico drive appears.

About Web2Pico

Web2Pico prepares Raspberry Pi Pico and Pico 2 boards by installing MicroPython and deploying your application directly from a supported web browser.

Supported browsers: Use desktop Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Web2Pico requires the Web Serial API.

What is MicroPython?

MicroPython is a lightweight implementation of Python designed to run on microcontrollers such as the Raspberry Pi Pico. Learn more in the MicroPython RP2 quick reference .

Manual firmware installation

Choose your board, download its UF2 from the official MicroPython page, then copy the file to the Pico drive.
